Linda Hoverman O'Neal

Linda O'Neal, Professional Realtor since 1985

There are thousands of Realtors in the greater Charlotte area, so why should you consider me as your Realtor?  I thought about this question and answer for quite some time and came up with long detailed answers. Then, I realized it all came down to my basic philosophy in life...The Golden Rule.  I treat my clients as I would like to be treated, with honesty and integrity.  I also add in an element of fun.  Buying and selling a home should be a fun and exciting experience  as most real estate transactions involve a move and therefore a major change in environment.   I sell real estate because I truly enjoy when my clients experience these life changing events with me as their Realtor and feel that together we realized their goals.

As a buyer's agent, I focus on everything from  voluntary and corporate relocation, empty nest homeowners downsizing, growing families ready for that next home, first time  home buyers and listing and selling waterfront and  luxury homes.  I have extensive knowledge of the housing market, price trends, schools, extra curricular activities, property taxes, roads & future development.  I educate my potential buyers and sellers.   The more I educate my clients about the real estate market, the more informed their buying & selling decisions and the more confident they are in their choices.

As a listing agent, I am meticulously detailed, from the submission of paperwork, to the selection of numerous photos and to the creation of my brochures and flyers.  My listings are featured on websites like  Realtor.com, Homes.com, REMAX.com, Zillow, etc.  I truly enjoy the marketing process and feel that my work on the front end will produce solid showing activity and a sale.  My skills include a thorough knowledge of construction, geography (lots do matter), communities,  top notch photography and negotiating. Selling a home for a good price should involve much more than reviewing "the comps".  My follow through is excellent and I communicate with my clients frequently via telephone and email.

If you are looking for a Realtor with exceptional customer service, look no further.  You will be my priority.

Family & Foundation

Linda is originally from a very small town located in York County, South Carolina.  She was born the daughter of a military man and his wife, both from South Carolina.  In the early 1980's Linda moved to Southern California to attend college at California State Polytechnic University where she majored in Pre-veterinary science and microbiology.

Soon after college graduation, Linda began her real estate career in Los Angeles County, California. Throughout her nine year career as a Realtor in the San Gabriel Valley, Linda was consistently recognized for sales awards and for voluntary work in her local Realtor Associations.  For several years, Linda assisted her broker in training programs for new agents and was recognized for her willingness to share her successful business ideas.

At the height of her career in 1994, Linda relocated to the Charlotte area.  It was a voluntary move in search of the ideal location to raise her daughter, Taylor and her son, Riley.  Years later, it has proven to be the right move.  Both Taylor and Riley are thriving in the Carolinas and are excelling in school, activities and good manners...they even say "yes ma'am" and "no ma'am."

Linda has worked very diligently to build a successful real estate business based upon honesty, integrity and hard work.  In order to provide exceptional service, she has developed a team of first quality professionals that specialize in buyer representation and first rate customer service with special attention being given to detail.  The buyer's team is trained to focus on finding the right home for a buyer in an area that has great potential for appreciation.  They are exceptional negotiators and exemplify the words "hustle".  It is critical that they do just that!  The Buyer's team focuses on clients relocating from other areas and many have a very limited knowledge of the Charlotte area.  They are depending upon reliable real estate advice and it is imperative that they choose a home that offers exceptional investment potential.  Often these folks are transferred again within a limited length of time.  If they have purchased in a reputable neighborhood, their home will have appreciated and should sell in a reasonable amount of time.

Numerous top producer panels have invited Linda to appear for discussion including a Top Producer seminar sponsored by The Charlotte Observer and an Internet seminar sponsored by RE/MAX International at a national convention held in Las Vegas.  In early 2000, RE/MAX International sent a crew from Denver, Colorado to Charlotte to film Linda and her team in their daily work routine as a training session for other Realtors within the RE/MAX franchise system.  The crew "shadowed" Linda and her team for 2 days gathering ideas and insight to share with Realtors worldwide.

Linda is very committed to the real estate profession and credits her success to the many great role models willing to share their ideas with her.  When asked what she has done to create such a successful real estate business, she quickly replies, "I abide by the golden rule and treat everyone as I would want to be treated...and I return all phone calls and emails promptly!"
